1.The phenomenon of breaking or stopping suddenly during drilling may be the reason for too fast feed, sharpening or sudden cooling and heating during drilling;
2. The center of the drill bit is cracked by drilling, which may be caused by too small clearance angle of the drill lip, too fast feed, passivation of the drill bit, too much pressure, lack of cooling, and poor clamping of the bit or workpiece;
3.After the drill is used, it should immediately check whether there is any damage, passivation and other bad conditions, if any, it should be grinded and trimmed immediately;
4.When storing, the drill bit should be positioned according to the number, so that it is convenient and time-saving to take the drill bit later and save the time of looking for the drill bit again;
5.When drilling, should make full use of cutting and pay attention to chip removal;
6.When drilling cross holes, large diameter holes should be drilled first, and then small holes should be drilled;
7.The drill bit is broken during drilling, which may be caused by the small clearance angle of the drilling lip or the high drilling speed, the large feed or the passivation of the bit and the pressure cutting;
8.Cutting edge fracture during drilling may be caused by hard spot sand holes in the workpiece material or too fast cutting speed, improper selection of drilling speed and no cutting agent added during drilling; drilling lip and cutting edge fracture may be caused by too fast feed or too small clearance angle of drilling lip. The hole diameter drilled out by drilling is too large, which may be caused by the two cutting edges not being equal, or the half angles of the two drill heads are not equal, the static point deviation, and the difference in the concentricity of the main shaft, etc.; when drilling, only one chip is discharged, which may be the cause of the unequal length of the two cutting edges or the unequal half angle of the drilling top; the squeaking sound may be caused by the hole not straight or the drill bit is passivated.
9. When drilling through hole, when the drill is about to drill through, the torque is maximum. Therefore, it is necessary to feed the drill bit slowly with light pressure to avoid the bit breaking due to excessive force;
10. Before drilling, the center point must be drilled first. The purpose is to hold the static point, so as to avoid the static point of the bit from touching the bottom, so as to guide the drill bit in the correct drilling position.
